Walk and Talk therapy, also known as outdoor therapy or ecotherapy, is a form of therapy where sessions take place outdoors while walking instead of being confined to an office setting. Clients and therapists engage in dialogue while walking through natural environments such as parks, trails, or gardens.
This approach integrates traditional talk therapy with the benefits of physical activity and nature. It offers a more dynamic and relaxed setting compared to the conventional therapy office, allowing you to feel more at ease and open up more freely. The movement involved in walking can also help stimulate cognitive processes and creativity, making it easier for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

As my client and an active participant in the process, I will be working with you towards understanding the latter’s anxiety, grief, unhappiness, depression, or unhealthy behaviour patterns. Taking into consideration the content and agenda of the session, I use my professional judgement to decide on a treatment approach with the highest likelihood of success, from variety of evidence based integrated psychotherapies.
It's important to note that Walk and Talk therapy may not be suitable for everyone or for every therapeutic issue. Clients with mobility issues or those who prefer a more structured environment may not benefit from this approach. Please discuss our online counselling option with your therapist. Additionally, your therapist will consider factors such as weather conditions and privacy concerns when conducting sessions outdoors.
